General terms and conditions
On this page you'll find a draft of Camp Diekirch's general terms and conditions. The terms describe the key agreements around booking, payment, cancellation, arrival, your stay and use of the facilities.
Please note: this text is a content draft and must be reviewed legally before it is used as final.
1. Applicability
These general terms and conditions apply to all bookings, agreements and stays at Camp Diekirch. By making a booking, the guest declares that they agree to these terms and conditions.
Deviations from these terms and conditions are only valid when confirmed in writing by Camp Diekirch.
2. Booking and confirmation
A booking is final once it has been confirmed by Camp Diekirch. The guest is responsible for correctly providing personal details, stay dates, number of persons, pets, camping equipment and any other relevant information.
Camp Diekirch reserves the right to refuse or cancel a booking if the information provided turns out to be incorrect or incomplete.
3. Prices and payment
The applicable prices are stated during the booking process or in the booking confirmation. Any tourist tax, deposit, administration costs or other surcharges are listed separately where applicable.
Payment must be made according to the payment terms and method stated in the booking confirmation. If payment is not made on time, Camp Diekirch may cancel the booking.
4. Cancelling and changing
Cancellations and changes must be reported to Camp Diekirch in writing. Any cancellation costs depend on the timing of the cancellation, the type of stay and the agreements made at the time of booking.
If the guest arrives later or departs earlier, this does not automatically entitle them to a refund. Camp Diekirch advises guests to take out suitable cancellation insurance themselves.
5. Arrival and departure
Arrival and departure times are stated in the booking confirmation or on the website. Guests are required to check in on arrival according to Camp Diekirch's instructions.
On departure, the camping pitch or accommodation must be left tidy, clean and free of waste. Any damage or extra cleaning costs may be charged.
6. Use of the camping pitch, accommodation and facilities
Guests are expected to take good care of the camping pitch, accommodation, amenities and the natural surroundings of the campsite. Causing nuisance to other guests, staff or local residents is not permitted.
Use of facilities such as sanitary blocks, play areas, catering, wifi hotspots and other amenities is at the guest's own responsibility and according to Camp Diekirch's instructions.
7. Pets
Pets are only permitted when indicated at the time of booking and confirmed by Camp Diekirch. Dogs must be kept on a leash and must not cause a nuisance.
Pets may NOT be left alone in any of the rental accommodations.
The owner is responsible for cleaning up after their pet and for any damage or nuisance caused by the pet.
8. Peace, safety and behaviour
Guests are asked to be considerate of each other and of the peaceful atmosphere of the campsite. Noise nuisance, unwanted behaviour, dangerous situations or failure to follow instructions may be grounds for ending the stay.
Open fires, barbecues, vehicles and electrical equipment may only be used safely and in accordance with the campsite's applicable rules and local regulations.
9. Liability and damage
Camp Diekirch is not liable for loss, theft, damage or injury. Guests stay at the campsite and use the facilities at their own risk.
Damage to property belonging to Camp Diekirch or third parties, caused by the guest, fellow travellers, visitors or pets, may be recovered from the guest.
10. Force majeure
If Camp Diekirch is unable to fully or partially fulfil the agreement due to force majeure, extreme weather conditions, government measures, technical failures or other unforeseen circumstances, a suitable solution will be sought together with the guest.
In such situations, Camp Diekirch is not liable for any consequential damage or costs beyond its control.
11. Privacy and personal data
Camp Diekirch processes personal data that is necessary for bookings, payments, communication and carrying out the stay. Personal data is handled with care and not kept for longer than necessary.
For more information about the processing of personal data, a separate privacy statement may be drawn up and added to the website.
12. Complaints
If a guest has a complaint, it should be reported to Camp Diekirch as soon as possible during the stay. This gives Camp Diekirch the opportunity to look for a suitable solution.
Complaints reported only after departure may be more difficult to assess, as Camp Diekirch has not had the opportunity to review or resolve the situation during the stay.
13. Applicable law
Agreements with Camp Diekirch are governed by the applicable law of the campsite's place of establishment, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
If any provision of these terms and conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force.
